Exemplar  8: Research Project - Mobile Enabled Disabled Students (MEDS).

 

Institution: e-Portfolio context: Evaluating the accessibility barriers and enablers in relation to using mobile devices for students with disabilities on practice placement. As part of the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning on Assessment and Learning in Practice Settings (ALPS CETL - http://www.alps-cetl.ac.uk/).

 

Dates of provision: 2008.

 

Reason for implementation: Part of ALPS CETL partnership.

 

Purpose/s: Personal Development Planning, Work Based Learning (Practice Placements), Employability/Graduate attributes, Assessment, and Lifelong Learning.


Learning processes involved:  Information capture, Information retrieval, Planning, Reflection, Feedback, Collaboration, and Presentation.

 

Practice: Fully developed.


Key staff involved: Chris Dearnley, John Fairhall, Jak Radice  and Stuart Walker.
