Brief overview of the organisation and its current e-portfolio use:

The IfL was set up in 2002 and is the professional body for UK Further Education (FE) and skills teachers and trainers and since 2009 all teachers in FE in the UK were required to be members. In April 2008 IfL launched its REfLECT personalised learning space to support reflective practice within the profession which all members can access on a voluntary basis. FE Colleges have volunteers who act as REfLECT Connections, individuals who play a pivotal role in supporting peers and colleagues in the effective use of REfLECT within their CPD. 26,000 members were using REfLECT in 2010.
