Evidencing reflection on placement learning
Institution: University of Wolverhampton
e-Portfolio context: This 20 credit year two semester Work Based Learning module supports and assesses students through a voluntary work based learning experience within a primary school environment.
Dates of provision: 2009 -10
Reason for implementation: Course evaluations indicated a strong need to support students in their reflective practice.
Purpose/s: To support a WBL/placement experience
Learning processes involved: Students reflect upon their own teaching, the teaching of others, and selected specific issues in the host school using a weekly placement form which they share with the University tutors in a blog in PebblePad. The 2 assessments build upon these weekly reflections.
Practice: Fully developed
Key staff involved: Staff from the School of Sports, Performing Arts and Leisure and the Blended Learning Unit staff - Paul Towers.
