Exemplar  1: Pilot use in Medicine, Dentistry, Biosciences :  University of Newcastle

 

e-Portfolio context:  

A new VLE for Medicine at Newcastle was launched in September 2004. The ePET e-portfolio was integrated in this  and was made available to students in all 5 years of the programme. It was also piloted in Dentistry, Medicine, Bioscience and with Contract Research Staff

Purpose/s:  Personal Development Planning, Continuing Professional Development of Staff, Transition to/from the institution, Work Based Learning, Employability/Graduate attributes, Assessment, Lifelong Learning
 

Learning processes involved:   Information capture, Information retrieval, Planning, Reflection, Feedback, Collaboration, Presentation
