The Performing Arts Department (The Studio) have made good use of e-portfolios in order to display the skills of their students; one student in particular used her e-portfolio in an application to the BBC to appear in a spin-off series of Eastenders on BBC 3. Her e-portfolio contained photos and videos as well as personal details. Although not successful in securing a part, she received very good feedback which commended her use of this technology. Another student however was selected for a programme on Channel 4 with her e-portfolio submission, again the feedback on this new way of showcasing skills was praised.
