An overview of use

Exemplar  12

Professional accreditation for CMALT - Chartered Membership for the Association of Learning Technologists

Institution: University of Wolverhampton

e-Portfolio context: The application for CMALT accreditation designed, developed and submitted through an e-portfolio

Dates of provision: 2010

Reason for implementation: To enable electronic submission to a professional body. To be able to provide a hypertext narrative to support professional accreditation criteria

Purpose/s: CPD

Learning processes involved:A blank e-portfolio was developed to mirror the sections of the paper application process. Then the use of the e-portfolio allowed for the evidence and reflective statements needed for the submission to be provided as a hypertext narrative.

Practice: Fully developed

Key staff involved:

In the example screenshot below is Emma Purnell's CMALT application. All members of the Blended Learning Unit who have submitted a CMALT application have done so through an e-portfolio
