Exemplar 7 - The Business Advantage

e-Portfolio context: Business Advantage - Students are offered a workshop series which supports them to learn about themselves in terms of their skills and preferences. Students develop and record evidence of the skills and abilities in their Student ePortfolio. They are supported by the ePortfolio structure to consider their employability skills and to make connections between learning at QUT and in other areas of their lives. Students develop an e-portfolio of the skills and abilities they have to offer prospective employers. The program is voluntary with students electing to undertake the 4-6 hour workshop series.
Dates of provision: Since 2007
Reason for implementation: The QUT Business School recognise ePortfolio as being able to add value for Business students by giving them a structure and workspace in which to develop a self marketing strategy to assist with entry to, or progression in, the careers marketplace.
